A lucky Naugatuck man wins a big jackpot worth of $30,000 recently

An area resident is $30,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket this week in Naugatuck, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

On Tuesday, a Shelton resident who is just 35 years old at the time of the lottery draw won $30,000 playing a "30X Cash 9th Edition" game.

The winning ticket was purchased from Cross Point Convenience LLC in Naugatuck.

The lottery officials said that the retailer which sold out the winning lottery ticket will also get a bonus for that.

They also announced that the winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money more conveniently.

The winner has 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim their winning prize money.
