New millionaire in Miami after playing Jackpot Triple Play Lotto game

According to Florida Lottery, while everyone dreams about becoming a millionaire, a lucky Miami man becomes the newest millionaire after playing Jackpot Triple Play Lotto game. 

Daniel Alvarez, 49, of Miami won a whopping $1.95 million prize during the February 25 drawing. He visited the Lottery's Miami District Office to claim the life changing jackpot. 

According to officials, Alvarez purchased his winning Quick pick ticket from La Esquina Tropical, located at 1060 SW Eighth Street in Miami. 

Alvarez chose to receive his winnings as a one time lump sum payment of $1,492,240.

Now the lucky retailer, La Esquina Tropical will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
