A big winning Powerball lottery ticket is sold out in New York recently

There were no tickets sold matching all six numbers in Wednesday (June 19) evening’s Powerball drawing, according to Lottery officials.

There was one ticket sold matching five numbers in New York and is worth $1 million. Because the winner played the Power Play option, the prize doubled to $2 million.

The numbers drawn in Wednesday evening’s Powerball lottery were 4, 27, 44, 50, 64 and the Powerball number is 7. The estimated jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is $72 million.

The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.

They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
