A customer from Columbus convenience store wins a big jackpot recently
A lucky winner hit the top prize worth $2 million on an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket purchased from a Columbus convenience store.
The ticket was purchased at M & S Carryout on Georgesville Road on the city's southwest side. The winner chose the cash option of $1 million.
After state and federal taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home about $720,000. Their name was not released.
The money was won from the $300Million Diamond Dazzler scratch-off ticket. The $20 ticket's top prize is $80,000 a year for 25 years.
As of June 17, there are three top prizes remaining. Players have a 1 in 3.33 chance of winning a prize by playing the $300Million Diamond Dazzler.
