A Florida Publix guy scoops $100,000 recently in a lottery game

A winning lottery ticket worth more than $100,000 was sold at a Publix store in Florida.

According to the Florida Lottery, the ticket is a Quick Pick from the Fantasy 5 game, valued at $116,365.94. The lucky ticket was purchased on Thursday at a Publix location in Gainesville, a city in Alachua County.

The winning numbers were 1, 7, 11, 14, and 20. As of the time of writing, no one has come forward to claim the prize. The deadline to do so is December 28 at midnight.

"While any Florida Lottery retailer can validate the winning ticket, the grand prize for FANTASY 5 must be claimed at a Florida Lottery district office," stated a press release from the Florida Lottery.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
