Greensboro guy wins a big jackpot worth of $150,000 recently
A man has won a top prize of $150,000 after buying a scratch-off ticket from a Tobacco shop on Landmark Center Boulevard in Greensboro.
According to North Carolina Education Lottery officials, Perdue bought a $5 Cashword Multiplier scratch-off ticket at the Stanly Tobacco & Vapes.
The game launched in August with six $150,000 top prizes. Three prizes remain to be won.
Officials said Perdue claimed his prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $106,516.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
