North Queensland mum discovers she won $1.3 million in Gold Lotto

A young mother chuffed after she thought she won $1,300 in a Lotto draw, until she had a close look to realize that she'd actually won $1.3 million.

The lucky mother from Mackay in North Queensland had one of the four Division One winning entries in Saturday's Gold Lotto draw. The other three players also took home the same amount.

The lucky mother said to a Lott officials who called her on Monday morning: "I checked my ticket online yesterday, I thought I'd won $1,300, and I was delighted,"

She says she kept looking at the ticket and she saw all the numbers lit up in a line. She realized she had won $1.3 million, not $1,300.

"I went all jittery." She said.

"Hubby was down at the shops getting some lunch, and he didn't take his phone,so I had to wait for him to come back to break the news."

She said her husband started shaking when he heard the news.

She said to the officials that she want to use the prize to help their growing family and save the rest for future retirement.
