A fortunate Local Marc's store's guy wins a big jackpot recently

A stop at a local grocery store for a common kitchen staple turned into a windfall of cash for one lucky lady.

According to the Ohio Lottery, a woman from Stow stopped into the Marc’s along Darrow Road for rice and purchased a $10 Lady Luck 50X scratch-off ticket from a self-serve kiosk.

The lucky winner told lottery officials she almost passed out when she kept scratching off winning numbers.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the woman won the game’s second-top prize of $150,000. After taxes, she will take home $108,000.

As of April 24, the Ohio Lottery said there are three top prizes worth $500,000 remaining in the game.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
