A Toledo-area resident is the winner of a $1 million annuity prize, the Ohio Lottery announced.
Tricia Moyer chose the annuity prize’s $500,000 cash-option equivalent before taxes, the lottery said in its announcement this week.
Ms. Moyer's win was a second-tier prize in the Ohio Lottery’s $30 Max the Money scratch-off, the lottery reported. Ms. Moyer beat odds of 1 in 468,085 to win.
Ms. Moyer purchased her winning ticket at S&G, 4001 N. Holland-Sylvania Avenue at the intersection of Sylvania Avenue in Sylvania Township.
She could not be reached for immediate comment. "I personally don't know the person, but I am very happy for that person," store manager Elizabeth Burgos said Tuesday.
