A lucky Youngstown woman wins a big jackpot worth of $650,000 recently

It was more than the moon and sun that lined up over the Valley this week. The stars were also aligned for a couple of people who bought lottery tickets at local stores.

According to the Ohio Lottery Commission, a customer making a pit stop at the a Youngstown can claim the $500,000 top prize in the Ohio Lottery’s $10 scratch-off, $500,000 Extra Play.

She purchased her winning ticket at BP, located at 2069 East Midlothian Road in Youngstown. After federal and state tax withholdings, the winner will take home approximately $360,000, beating odds of 1 in 600,000 to win.

Meanwhile in Warren, a woman beat odds of 1 in 250,000 to win a $150,000 prize from a $10 Lady Luck 50x scratch off ticket purchased at Macali Giant Eagle on Elm Road NE in Warren.

The Giant Eagle will be awarded a $1,500 sales bonus, while the BP in Youngstown gets a $5,000 bonus.
