A lucky resident of Onslow in Richlands wins a big jackpot in new scratch off lottery game

An Onslow man's life just changed after winning the lottery off a new scratch-off game.

Ricky Futrell who is just 32 years old at the time of lottery drawing. He is a resident of Richlands who bought a $20 scratch-off ticket from the Speedway on Richlands Highway in Richlands, according to a Monday morning news release from the NC Education Lottery.

Futrell won the first $2 million prize on the new $100 Million Mega Cash ticket. “I’m shaking,” Futrell said in the release. “It’s overwhelming.”

The lottery officials announced a guideline for the winner and that is, "whoever the winner is he has to keep his lottery winning ticket as safe it is their own money because if they lost their winning Lottery ticket then it will be impossible to claim their winning prize money."
