A lucky white Marsh guy wins $50,000 recently in scratch off lottery

A Baltimore County woman who only occasionally plays Maryland Lottery games was in shock when she won $50,000 on a scratch-off ticket. She was on her way to a friend’s house when she got the urge to purchase a scratch-off.

The medical worker bought a $5 Power Cash game at the White Marsh Truck Stop, located at 11424 Pulaski Highway (21162), and went home to scratch off the instant ticket. It took a few minutes for her to realize that she was a top-prize winner.

“I didn’t believe it. I thought I had only won $5,” she said with a smile. Looking at her instant ticket, the winner next revealed a lightning bolt symbol. She was guaranteed the prize underneath of $5,000, but this prize had an additional “10X” symbol.

That increased the prize to $50,000. “It just wasn’t a winner. It was the highest amount,” the northeast Baltimore County resident explained with excitement.

She plans to use much of her prize to pay bills and will place the rest of the funds into a savings account.
