A $20 cashword scratch-off lottery ticket helped a Leon County woman win $1 million.

The Florida Lottery announced Friday that 61-year-old Anita Ervin of Tallahassee claimed a $1 million prize from the $5,000,000 Cashword Scratch-Off lottery ticket in the capital city.

Ervin purchased her $20 winning ticket from Fair Price Food Store, located at 440 East Paul Russell Road, according to the Florida Lottery.

She chose to receive her prize as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $780,000, the Florida Lottery said.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
