New Jersey lottery officials have confirmed that a local supermarket recently sold a winning "Jersey Cash 5" ticket.
The fortunate ticket was purchased at Stop & Shop, situated at 3208 Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant.
In an exciting turn of events, one lucky individual held the winning ticket, which successfully matched all five numbers drawn during the Saturday, October 21st drawing.
This resulted in a substantial prize of $212,600 in the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot. The winning numbers for this draw were 02, 05, 16, 21, and 31, with an XTRA number of 03.
As a gesture of recognition, the retailer, Stop & Shop, will be receiving a bonus check amounting to $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
