Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth $21 million won by three Toronto friends

Three Toronto area friends won $21 million Lotto6/49 jackpot

According to the OLG, a group of three friends of Toronto area had won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth more than $21 million. 

The group of three had the winning ticket for the September 22 drawing. They purchased the ticket on the OLG website, the officials said. 

Kenneth Nitsotolis of Markham and Bill Tepelenas and Dino Martino, both of Toronto, claimed the jackpot prize worth $21,185,218.

Nitsotolis said he woke and checked his email one morning and saw the big winner appeared on the screen. 

"I rubbed my eyes and thought we won $21,000 but there were too many numbers," Nitsotolis said. 

Nitsotolis called his friends to tell them the good news. He videocall his friends to make them believe about their winnings. 

The group says that they had been playing Lotto 6/49 lottery together for 16 years. 

The group says that they don't have any immediate plans on what to do with their winning prize.
