Million dollar win doe Jensen beach man in scratch-off lottery ticket

A 68-year-old St. Lucie County resident claimed a $1 million prize in the FLORIDA 300X THE CASH lottery scratch-off game, the Florida Lottery announced Monday.
Scott Petersen, of?Jensen Beach, chose to get his winnings as a one-time payment of $695,500.
Although the Lottery announced the win Monday, the ticket was validated by Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee on Oct. 10, 2022, said Michelle McFatter, Florida Lottery spokesperson.
Petersen bought the ticket from Publix in the 1700 block of Northeast Jensen Beach Boulevard in Jensen Beach.
A $2,000 bonus commission goes to the store for selling the ticket.
