Powerball Jackpot Soars to $725 Million: Among the Top Eight in History

Following Wednesday's Powerball drawing, which failed to produce a jackpot winner, the Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $725 million.

This remarkable amount now ranks as the eighth-largest prize in Powerball history, a notable jump from just a few days ago when it stood at $672 million, making it the game's tenth-largest prize ever.

While the grand jackpot remains unclaimed, three fortunate individuals are waking up as newly-minted millionaires this morning.

Two tickets in Georgia and one in California successfully matched all five numbers but missed the Powerball.

Interestingly, one of the Georgia tickets and the California ticket opted for the Power Play option, doubling their winnings to $2 million instead of the standard $1 million.
