Saturday Lotto player in Mackay became $1.3 milllion richer

A Lucky Mackay woman woke up on Sunday morning discovering a $1.3 million Saturday Gold Lotto win.

The winner is a North Queensland resident who won division one prize in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4259 which was drawn on 14 May 2022.

The inning 18-game Quickpick ticket was sold at News Central, Shop 100T7 Northern Beaches Central, Cnr Mackay Bucasia Rd & Eimeo Bypass, Rural View.

The Lott official talked to the winner and confirmed the win.

“I checked my ticket online yesterday,” the winning woman explained.

“Initially, I thought I’d won $1,300, and I was delighted.

“But then I kept looking at the ticket, and I saw all the numbers lit up in a line. I realized I’d won $1.3 million, not $1,300!

“I went all jittery. It was such an unbelievable moment!  

When asked how she plans to spend the win. The woman said “We want to use the prize to help our growing family and save the rest for our future retirements.

“Now that I know this is real, I can calm down. I might even make us some bacon and eggs to continue the celebration!”
