Second $100,000 Powerball Win in Rhode Island This Month

Rhode Island's lottery officials have reported another $100,000 win in the Powerball game, marking the second such win in the state this month.

The winning ticket, which was sold at the North Country Store located at 172 Chapel St. in Harrisville on Wednesday, matched four of the five numbers and included a $1 "Power Play," doubling the prize money.

Lottery officials have confirmed that the prize has not been claimed yet, and have urged anyone who purchased a Powerball ticket at North Country Store to check their numbers.

The previous $100,000 win in the state occurred on April 5 at Shaw's in Warwick.

The Rhode Island Lottery encourages players to play responsibly and reminds them that the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
