Three players share R22 million Powerball lottery Jackpot search continues for two other

Three South African player got lucky for June 9 Powerball Plus drawing each won R7 million.

The National Lottery Operator, Ithuba said the three winners share the jackpot R22 million from June 9 Powerball Plus draw. 

Powerball winning numbers for June 9 draw were 05, 14, 25, 26, 44 and the Powerball number is 08.

Charmaine Mabuza the Chief Executive of Ithuba said the three winners will receive R7 million each. One person had come forward to claim his winning prize. 

"The winner that has already come forward to claim his winnings spent R45 on the winning ticket using the manual selection method." She said. 

The winner purchased the ticket just an hour before the draw from Faerie Glen Pretoria, Johannesburg. 

The second winning ticket was purchased through a banking app with a ticket wager of R45 using the quick pick selection method and the third ticket was purchased at a Spar Georgious in Fort Beaufort, in Eastern Cape.

The two other winner did not claim their prize yet. The search for the ticket holder are still going on.
