West Hempstead Resident Scores Dual $1 Million Wins in Mega Millions Lottery

For countless lottery enthusiasts in New York and nationwide, the pursuit of a life-altering win through Mega Millions has often ended in dashed hopes.

However, one individual, Marco Accardo, emerged as an exception to this norm.

Accardo, a resident of West Hempstead, recently made headlines by claiming two separate $1 million second-prize winnings from the Mega Millions lottery.

His stroke of luck occurred during the Nov. 11, 2022, drawing when two of his tickets matched the same five white numbers.

During that specific drawing, the Mega Millions numbers drawn were 05-09-15-16-17 for the white balls, alongside a Mega Ball number of 25.

Accardo's fortune was sealed as both of his tickets matched the initial five numbers, each securing him a substantial $1 million prize.
