$1.5 million Powerball prize in California set to expire soon

The clock is ticking for the lucky winner of a $1.5 million Powerball ticket sold in Santa Clara County, California, as they have until Monday to claim their prize, according to the California Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased on October 26th, 2022, at a Mobil gas station on Los Gatos Boulevard and contained the numbers 19, 36, 37, 46, and 56.

It was one of two tickets from that drawing that matched five numbers but missed the Powerball number. The other ticket, sold in Southern California, has already been claimed.

It's important to note that Powerball winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.

If the prize remains unclaimed after the deadline, the money will go to support public schools in California.
