$2 Million Powerball Prize Won in Ottumwa, Iowa, Just One Number Away from Jackpot

A remarkable win took place in Ottumwa, Iowa, as a Powerball ticket purchased at Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh on N. Quincy Ave. scored a $2 million prize.

The ticket fell just one number short of the $424 million jackpot, matching all five numbers but missing the Powerball.

However, the player had opted for the Power Play feature, which multiplied the Match 5 prize to a remarkable $2 million.

The winning Powerball numbers drawn on Saturday were 2, 38, 44, 50, 62, with a Powerball of 19, and a Power Play number of 3.

Since the jackpot remained unclaimed, it has now grown to an estimated $440 million for the next drawing on Monday.

Hy-Vee, the store that sold the ticket, will also receive a $2,000 bonus from the Iowa Lottery.
