A fortunate resident from McCook scoops a big jackpot recently in a lottery game

A $4.1 million lottery ticket was sold at a gas station in McCook. According to the Illinois Lottery, the winning ticket was bought at the BP gas station, located at 8222 Joliet Road, for the May 2 drawing.

The lucky player’s ticket matched all six numbers to score the $4.1 million jackpot prize. The winning numbers were: 2-3-9-19-32-40.

This is the third-largest prize won so far this year, coming in behind a $10.4 million winning prize sold in Park Ridge in February, and a $5.45 million win sold in Chicago in March.

The BP gas station will receive a selling bonus of one percent of the prize, or $41,000. Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw to claim their prize.
