A Former Fishermen wins a big jackpot recently in JAWS lottery game

The Massachusetts State Lottery‘s newest instant ticket game has its second million-dollar winner, and it’s a former deep sea fisherman from Dighton.

Michael Stephens won the top prize for the JAWS game and chose the one-time payment option of $650,000 before taxes, the state lottery announced.

Stephens said he will share the money with family and travel with his wife. The state lottery said the ticket was bought at the Olde Village Corner Store in Somerset, which will receive a $10,000 bonus.

In addition to the five million-dollar prizes, 30 players will win a JAWS-inspired trip to Martha’s Vineyard in 2025.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
