A Minnesota guy wins a big jackpot in Gopher 5 lottery game

One lucky person is a multi-millionaire after Wednesday's Gopher 5 drawing revealed a winning ticket sold in Baxter, Minn.

The jackpot amounts to $2,045.590, which surpasses the previous record for the Minnesota-only lotto game. The ticket was sold at Orton's Baxter Holiday on 5610 Fairview Rd., and the win will net the store a $5,000 bonus.

Not sure if you won? Dig through your receipts for your lotto ticket; here are the jackpot numbers: 16-29-35-43-46. If you are the winner, the prize must be claimed at the Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville.

Officials recommend calling ahead for an appointment. Minnesota's last big lottery winner was in April when a mother won $3.1 million in the Lotto America drawing, using her family's birthdates as numbers.

Per state law, the winner's name and city will not be released unless they choose to make that information public.
