60 years old woman from Urbana has won $1 million Megamillions lottery prize

A day to remember for the old lady from Urbana who got richer by $1 million in Megamillion lottery draw for Tuesday night.

Karen Kramer 60, from Urbana was the Lucky Megamillion player to purchase $1 million ticket for Tuesday night's draw. She got Lucky to match five out of the six numbers for Tuesday night's drawing. 

Megamillions winning numbers for Tuesday night were 9, 22, 39, 41, 54. The Gold Megaball number was 19 and the Megaplier was 3X.

Another ticket of $1 million sold in West Virginia along with the Kramer's ticket, were the only two in the country that won $1 million prize that night. Kramer has claimed her winning prize at the lowa lottery headquarters in Clive on Tuesday.

The 60 years old winner works as a para educator for the Centre Point-Urbana School District. She exclaimed, she initially saw a "1" and some zeroes when she cracked her ticket, but didn't realize just how many zeroes were involved at first. Then it hit her.

The old woman kept her winning a secret from everyone, including their three adult children until she claimed the prize. 

The Lucky winning ticket holder purchased the ticket at Barry's Mini Mart in Harpers Ferry. The Lucky store will receive $1,000 as bonus from lowa lottery for selling the winning ticket.
