A big mega millions lottery ticket is sold out in Granville County

A lucky ticket sold in Granville County won $10,000 in Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery.

The ticket was purchased at Granville Food Mart on N.C. Highway 158 in Oxford, the lottery said. According to the prize distribution chart, the ticket matched the numbers on four of the white balls as well as the Mega Ball to win the $10,000 prize.

No one won the big jackpot Friday night. As of Saturday morning, the Mega Millions jackpot stands at $311 million. The next drawing is Tuesday night.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.6 million. Lottery officials encourage the winner to come forward, validate their ticket, and begin the process of claiming their substantial prize.
