A Denton resident wins $1 million on scratch-off lottery game few weeks ago

A Denton resident is $1 million richer to kick off the week of June 10 after claiming a top prize while playing the scratch-off lottery game Millionaire Maker.

While the area resident elected to remain anonymous, according to the Texas Lottery Commission, the ticket was purchased at the Horizon Food Mart, located at 1205 East University Drive in Denton.

This week's scratch-off winning follows a series of Texans who claimed big prizes last week. A Baytown resident claimed a top prize winning on a scratch-off lottery ticket on June 4.

The winning ticket was the first time of four top prizes worth $3 million to be claimed, which was the 500X Loteria Spectacular scratch ticket game then followed two winning tickets, both from the Powerball lottery and both worth $1 million.

The two Powerball winning tickets were sold in Eagle Pass, and the other was sold further south in Donna, a small area in the Rio Grande Valley.
