A Fortunate west Roxbury man claims a jackpot before it's expiry

A West Roxbury man has claimed a winning lottery ticket just 11 days before it expires.

John Butler is $100,000 richer after finding a winning lottery ticket he had purchased nearly a year before. The ticket was announced as the winner in the March 17, 2022 drawing and had to be claimed in a year.

Bulter told the Massachusetts Lottery that his wife told him about seeing an unclaimed ticket coming up on its expiration date on the news.

He then went to look through old tickets at his home and found the winning ticket.
