A lottery winning ticket worth of $100k is sold out in north Carolina
Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in North Carolina won $100,000 but hasn't claimed their money yet. A ticket was purchased on Dec. 8 from Big Al's Mini Mart on Jackson Street in Roanoke Rapids, but the person who bought the ticket still hasn't come forward.
?"The $3 Power Play ticket matched the numbers of four of the white balls and the red Powerball in the drawing to win $50,000. Because it was a Power Play ticket, the prize doubled to $100,000 when the 2x multiplier was drawn," according to a release from N.C. Education Lottery.
For someone to claim the prize, they must present their ticket to the lottery headquarters in Raleigh by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, which is 180 days after the drawing.
"To help find the winner, the Education Lottery is sharing news about the unclaimed prize with statewide media and posting an alert on the lottery’s website and social media channels," lottery officials said in a release.
