A new winning $100,000 lottery ticket is sold out in Shelton recently

A local lottery player is $100,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at a Shelton business this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The $100,000 winning "Cash5 with Kicker!" ticket was drawn Wednesday. The ticket was sold at 24/7 Express in Shelton.

The Connecticut Lottery lists overall odds for this ticket as "1 in 72.1," and as "1 in 12.1" with kicker. Purchasers must be 18 or older.

The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record. The Connecticut Lottery only publishes names of people who win $10,000 or more, which officials claim is quite common.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
