Canada's Newest Lotto Multi-Millionaire Still in Shock After Winning $50 Million

Nassim Fattouh, a resident of Edmonton, Canada, has become the country's latest lottery multi-millionaire after winning an astonishing $50 million in the September 5 Lotto Max draw.

Fattouh had a habit of purchasing Lotto Max tickets whenever he stopped to fill up his gas tank, but he was utterly unprepared for what happened next.

After scanning his ticket at the store, Fattouh saw all those zeros on the screen and initially thought something was wrong. He recounted, "I brought my ticket to the store and scanned it on the self-checker. I saw all the zeroes on the screen and said to the clerk, ‘Something’s wrong. The machine is not working.'" He scanned the ticket again, only to receive the same jaw-dropping result. The clerk's machine confirmed his win with celebratory sounds, and that's when it finally sank in.

The shock of becoming a multi-millionaire overwhelmed Fattouh, and he needed some time to compose himself. He humorously shared, "I couldn’t believe it. I started shaking and pacing around the store. Then I got in my car and drove around the parking lot. I didn’t know what I was doing!" It took him three days to fully grasp the reality of his newfound fortune, and he admitted that he wasn't complaining about that.

Despite still being in a state of shock, Fattouh does have some dreams and aspirations for his massive windfall. He plans to take a vacation, starting with visiting family and then embarking on a trip across Europe. Additionally, he's considering indulging in one of his lifelong desires – owning a Porsche. As he stated, "I’ve always liked Porsches… I’d like to buy one at some point. It’s a lot to think about all at once!"

Nassim Fattouh purchased his life-changing winning ticket at the Mobil gas station located at 5019 Calgary Trail NW in Edmonton. While he may still be processing the enormity of his win, there's no doubt that this newfound fortune will open up exciting new possibilities for him in the days to come.
