First Millionaire for Life Results Are In – Two Massachusetts Winners Score

The brand-new “Millionaire for Life” lottery game is officially here — and two players in Massachusetts are already celebrating wins from its very first drawing.

The debut draw happened on Sunday, February 22 at 11:15 p.m., and from now on, drawings will take place every single night at the same time.

While no one hit the top jackpot in the opening round, there were still some exciting wins:

• ? The biggest win of the night was $7,500, claimed by two tickets that matched four numbers plus the Millionaire Ball

Why the Change?

“Millionaire for Life” replaces the long-running “Lucky for Life,” which wrapped up its final drawing on February 21 after 14 years. Players still have one year from that date to claim any remaining prizes.

The new game expands big time — now featuring 33 participating state lotteries, compared to 23 under the previous version.

According to Mark William Bracken, Executive Director of the Massachusetts State Lottery, the switch was part of an effort to combine “Lucky for Life” and “Cash4Life” into one upgraded game. While Massachusetts officials didn’t support the higher ticket price, they’re still looking forward to offering players a shot at that $1 million-a-year-for-life prize in 2026.
