Lucky Lottery Player Celebrates First Big Win After 15 Years of Playing

After more than 15 years of faithfully playing the lottery, 59-year-old John Bosnjack from St. Thomas, Ontario, is finally reaping the rewards. On October 4, he secured the second prize in an Ontario 49 draw, a substantial $50,000. He purchased the winning ticket at Family Mart on Talbot Street.

When Bosnjack discovered his win while sipping morning coffee with his wife and checking his ticket on the OLG app, the excitement was palpable. However, it took a while for the reality of the win to set in. Bosnjack managed to maintain composure at work despite the momentous occasion, but he admitted that concentration became a challenge as he kept asking himself, "Is this a dream?"

The first order of business for the lottery prize is taking care of bills, but Bosnjack also has plans to treat himself and his wife to a well-deserved getaway for their upcoming 25th anniversary.

In addition to Bosnjack's win, Halloween brought another treat for a Canadian lottery player who became a brand-new multimillionaire with a remarkable Lotto Max win. The Halloween draw, which took place on Tuesday, October 31, featured a jaw-dropping $55 million jackpot. The winning numbers for the spine-tingling draw were 22, 23, 25, 26, 35, 40, 44, and the bonus number 33.
