A lucky man from Western Kentucky won a whopping sum of $2 million playing Powerball lottery game by matching all five white balls.

The winning Scratch-Off ticket was bought from the vending machine at the Walmart on West 5th Street in Benton. The store will receive a bonus of $20,000 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Usually, that ticket would be worth $1 million, but Melton added the Power Play option to his ticket, which doubled his prize.

The winner recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home $1,420,000 after taxes.

After an appointment with a financial planner, the winner plans to buy a new car and take an Alaskan cruise.
