Marblehead man wins multi-state Lucky for Life game worth $25k

A Marblehead man won $25,000 Lottery prize playing multi-state Lucky for Life game of Massachusetts State Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at Stop & Shop located at 450 Paradise Riad in Swampscott. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $500 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

The winner recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and chose the cash option for his prize and received a one-time payment of $390,000 (before taxes).

As with most U.S. lotteries, the Bay State's lottery games require players to be at least 18 years old. Drawings are broadcast on WBZ-TV (channel 4) the CBS-station in the Boston television market.

Lucky for Life became a "quasi-national" game, and it is offered in 25 states and the District of Columbia.
