Massachusetts Lottery Player Wins $20k a Month for 10 Years on $10 Scratch Ticket

A Massachusetts lottery player is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming the top prize of $20,000 a month for 10 years on a $10 scratch ticket. The winning ticket was purchased from Ruggiero's Market in Jamaica Plain and was from the "Decade of Dollars" game, which was released in February 2023.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the odds of winning the top prize in the "Decade of Dollars" game are one in 2.52 million. This winning ticket is the third top prize to be claimed from the game, with three more top prizes still available as of April 26.

In addition to the $20,000 a month for 10 years prize, the "Decade of Dollars" scratch ticket offers a range of other prizes, including $100,000, $50,000, and $10,000.

On the same day, the Massachusetts State Lottery reported a total of 586 lottery tickets worth at least $600 were won or claimed across the state, with 26 of those tickets being worth $600 or more from the "Decade of Dollars" game.

This latest win comes after two massive jackpot prizes were won earlier in 2023. A $33 million Mega Millions jackpot ticket was sold in Belchertown on January 24, and a $31 million Mega Millions jackpot ticket was sold in Woburn on January 31.
