Massachusetts woman wins $1M lottery, uses winnings to pay son’s student loans

Tipwan Sahasankmontri, a resident of Framingham, Massachusetts, recently won a whopping $1 million lottery prize from a ticket purchased at a local Gulf gas station.

The lucky winner plans to use the prize money to pay off her son's student loans and purchase a new home.

The store that sold the winning ticket will also receive a bonus of $10,000. The $5,000,000 100X Cashword game played by Sahasankmontri costs $20 per ticket, with odds of winning the second-highest prize being one in 1.008 million.

This week also saw two other winners of $1 million lottery prizes in Massachusetts, adding to the state's growing list of lucky lottery players.
