Michigan Man Wins Second Lottery Jackpot, Becomes Luckiest Person in Southeast Michigan
In a remarkable stroke of luck, Ronald Durham, a 64-year-old resident of Southgate, Michigan, has achieved the remarkable feat of winning a significant lottery jackpot for the second time in under ten years. According to the Michigan Lottery, Durham visited a convenience store in Southgate on May 2 to purchase a Lucky For Life ticket. Much to his astonishment, he discovered the following morning that he had won $25,000 a year for life.
Durham, who habitually buys a lottery ticket every day, expressed his disbelief at his remarkable fortune, stating, "In 2014, I won a $250,000 KENO! prize, so it’s hard to believe I’ve won another big prize less than 10 years later! I feel like the luckiest person in Michigan."
Instead of receiving annual payments of $25,000, Durham decided to receive a one-time payment of $390,000. He intends to utilize a portion of his winnings for travel purposes, while prudently saving the remainder.
Southgate, situated approximately 15 miles south of Detroit, has become home to the reputedly "luckiest person in southeast Michigan," as Durham's remarkable lottery wins have earned him widespread recognition throughout the region.
