Nantucket Man Wins Big with Million Dollar Lottery Prize

A carpenter from Nantucket, Kevin Purcell, recently struck it lucky after purchasing a " $5,000,000 100X Cashword" lottery ticket from one of the two Cumberland Farms stores on the island.

The Massachusetts State Lottery confirmed that Purcell won a million-dollar prize and opted for the cash option, receiving a lump sum of $650,000 after taxes.

Purcell shared that he plans to use his winnings to build himself a house, which is a dream come true for the carpenter.

Meanwhile, the Cumberland Farms store on Sparks Avenue, where Purcell bought the ticket, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
