North Carolina resident Timothy Domina is celebrating the new year with a substantial lottery win.

After purchasing a $20 100X The Cash scratch-off ticket from P And D Food Mart on North Main Street, Domina scratched the ticket to reveal a $100,000 prize.

The surprise was so significant that Domina humorously remarked, "I about had a heart attack." Despite initial skepticism from his brother, who had to verify the win for himself, the lottery officials confirmed Domina's substantial victory.

After tax withholdings, Domina will take home $71,311. He plans to use the winnings to pay bills and fulfill a dream vacation to the Florida Keys with his family.
