North Carolina Woman Wins $1 Million in Lottery Scratch-Off

Lowanda Kane of Garner, North Carolina, has won a $1 million prize playing the $1,000,000 Bankroll scratch-off game.

Kane purchased the winning ticket from Turner Mini Mart in Rocky Mount.

She visited the lottery headquarters and had the option of receiving the prize as an annuity of $50,000 per year for 20 years or a lump sum of $600,000.

Kane chose the lump sum and received $427,503 after taxes were withheld. The $1,000,000 Bankroll game, which launched in November 2020, will end as Kane won the last top prize.
