North Carolina woman wins Powerball ticket worth $150,000

A lucky woman from North Carolina named Ronda Isaac won a whopping sum of $150,000 playing N.C. Lottery’s Powerball lottery game. 

The winning ticket was purchased with Online Play using the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.

The winner matched the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000. The prize tripled to $150,000 when the 3X Power Play multiplier hit.

She recently claimed her winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home $106,876 after state and federal taxes. 

She said she has needed double knee replacement surgery for years, and now she can finally get it.

The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) is run by the government of North Carolina.

Players select five numbers 1 through 69, and the red Powerball (1-26). Jackpots begin at $40 million annuity. As of August 23, 2021, Drawings are Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
