One Lucky Lotto Powerball Player Wins $15.5 Million in Must Be Won Draw

In a Super Saturday Lotto Powerball draw, one lucky player from Canterbury, New Zealand, won a massive $15.5 million in the "Must Be Won" draw.

The draw was held to raise funds for Cyclone Gabrielle relief efforts, with half the value of ticket sales going towards the cause.

The winning numbers for the draw were 37, 17, 4, 27, 38, and 11, with the Bonus Ball being 26 and the Power Ball being 3.

Lotto NZ chief executive Chris Lyman expressed gratitude towards New Zealanders for supporting the special draw and helping communities impacted by the cyclone.

If no tickets win Powerball First Division, the prize pool rolls down to the next highest Powerball division with winners, which might be the Second or Third Division. The percentage of funds from ticket sales will be transferred to the Lottery Grants Board to distribute to the communities affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

This massive win is life-changing for the Canterbury resident, who can now enjoy financial freedom by paying off their mortgage. The winner wished to remain anonymous but was looking forward to celebrating their win with family by going out for dinner.
