Ontario Retiree Wins $25,000 a Year for Life Using Same Numbers Played for Three Years

Martin Beyer, a retiree from London, Ontario, hit the jackpot by winning a second lottery prize of $25,000 a year for life with Daily Grand in the October 30, 2023 draw.

Opting for the lump sum payment of $500,000, Beyer's stroke of luck came using the same set of numbers he has faithfully played for the past three years. Despite almost skipping this particular draw, he decided to purchase a ticket last minute due to its "super draw" status. Beyer, 62, had been a regular lottery player for about three years and bought his winning ticket online.

Receiving an email from the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation (OLG) that caught his attention, Beyer logged into his account and found out about his life-changing win.

Overwhelmed with surprise, he double and triple-checked to ensure it wasn't a dream. The retiree plans to enhance his lifestyle with the windfall, enjoying upgraded experiences and contemplating getting a dog for increased quality of life.
