Powerball jackpot rises upto $100 million after no big winner

The Powerball jackpot continues to rise after no one matched all six numbers for Monday's prize.

The winning numbers for Monday night's drawing were 3, 17, 26, 38, 54, and the Powerball is 15. The Power Play was 3X.

Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338.00, which is slightly better than the Mega Millions odds of one in 302,575,350.

The odds of hitting a $1 million winning ticket in Powerball, meanwhile, are one in 11,688,053.52.

Powerball is an American lottery game offered by 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening at 10:59 p.m. 

Powerball's annuity is paid in 30 graduated installments over 29 years, or winners may choose a lump sum payment instead (cash option).
