Saskatoon Couple Wins Over $219K in Lotto Max Draw

A couple from Saskatoon has won $219,095 in a recent Lotto Max draw.

Wayne and Kathleen MacLeod purchased the ticket just hours before the draw on February 28, but it wasn't until the next morning that they realized they had won, according to a Sask.

Lotteries news release. Kathleen scanned the tickets on the Lotto Spot app and was surprised to see they had won.

Wayne, however, was not convinced and said he would believe it when they took it in. The couple said they were still in shock when they picked up their prize.

Kathleen said, "I always told Wayne our turn would come and now it's our turn. It finally happened."

Lotto Max is a Canadian lottery game that offers players the chance to win a large jackpot prize, along with other smaller prizes. 

Lotto Max draws take place every Tuesday and Friday evening, and players can purchase tickets at authorized retailers or online.
