St. Catherines woman purchased $1 million Lotto Max lottery ticket

Someone dream just came true after playing Lotto Max lottery. A St. Catherine woman woke up in the morning as a $1 million richer after purchasing a $1 Lotto Max ticket. 

The overnight millionaire turned $1 into $1 million. 

Margret Mathews matched all seven ENCORE numbers in their correct order in the November 12th, 2021 Lotto Max draw to hit the $1 million prize. 

Mathews have several plans about her new coming fortune. When aske she says she plans to pay off her Mortgage, update her kitchen and invest the remaining. 

"It feels surreal - absolutely amazing!" She smiled. 

Mathews purchased the $1 million winning ticket at Waypoint on Niagara Street in Welland. 

The next Lotto Max draw will take place on Friday night with an estimated $45 million jackpot for lucky winners.
