Take 5 lottery ticket sold in New York City

A top-prize winning TAKE 5 ticket valued at more than $35,000 was recently sold in New York City. The New York Lottery announced that a jackpot-prize winning ticket worth $35,983.50 was sold as part of the TAKE 5 evening drawing Saturday.

The ticket was purchased from Parkside Deli & Grocery, located at 203 Parkside Ave., in Brooklyn.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, Jan. 27, TAKE 5 evening drawing were 11, 25, 33, 38, and 39. TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a range of 1 to 39. To take home the TAKE 5 jackpot, the five numbers on your ticket must match the winning five-number draw.

One game of TAKE 5 costs $1.

The TAKE 5 drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. Those players with both midday and evening numbers on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to see if they have the winning numbers from the corresponding game. While the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 575,757, the chances of winning overall are 1 in 8.77.

The prize with the greatest chances, a Quick Pick Free Play, only requires that you show two matching numbers, an occurrence with odds of 1 in 9.62.
